Rising Star: Evelyn Taylor Shines in the Pageant World

At just 16 months old, Evelyn Taylor is already making a name for herself in the pageant world. With the support of her family and guidance from her coach, Danielle Rufli, Evelyn has quickly gone from her very first pageant to winning national titles in less than a year.

Evelyn’s journey began when her mom, Rachel, connected with Danielle Rufli. Their first competition was the Carthage Pageant, where Evelyn surprised everyone by taking home Queen in her age group. From there, the excitement only grew.

Since then, Evelyn has competed in 14 pageants this year alone, including five national competitions. She was awarded the Overall Mega Elite title at the Americas Best Preliminary in May, bringing home her first cash award of $100. She has also placed in the top five at multiple America’s Best Preliminaries. She currently holds the title of Baby Miss Hendersonville through the America’s Best System. In January, she attended her very first nationals, and by the end of May she proudly earned her first national title—along with a $1,000 cash prize.

Balancing all the sparkle and stage lights is a full family life. Evelyn has a five-year-old big brother, who she loves to harass in true little sister fashion, and she spends her downtime practicing gymnastics. Her mom, Rachel, is originally from Kentucky and has lived in Hendersonville since right after college. In addition to coaching the Titans cheer program, Rachel also works in pediatric home health nursing. Evelyn’s dad, Wade, is from Greenbrier and can often be found cheering her on from the sidelines.

Looking ahead, Evelyn’s next competition is America’s Best ToyFest Nationals September 5-7—an exciting pageant that holds special meaning as it’s where she will represent her title: Baby Miss Hendersonville.

With her bright personality, supportive family, and a growing list of crowns, Evelyn Taylor is proving that even at just 16 months old, she’s already a star on the rise.
